Oh, what a wonderful life it would be,

If I were a leaf on top of a tree.

Graceful and bright, above all the rest,

Life would be grand, one of the best.

In winter I’d hide, all snug safe and warm,

Inside of a bud, I’d come to no harm

In springtime I’d bloom and grow, you’ll see,

Being the best leaf I could be.

Summer would come, Oh glorious sun,

I’ll bask in its rays, won’t that be fun!

Autumn has come, shades of red orange and brown,

The cycle complete, I fall to the ground.
